Sample Project

Cutting brush in the over-grown savanna at Grey Cloud Dunes SNA started many years ago. Volunteers, STS (Sentence to Service) and SNA crews have been active in the brush cutting effort. The burr oak shown below was surrounded by a thick patch of exotic honey suckle. Volunteers and SNA crews cut and sprayed the shrubs then volunteers stacked and burned the piles finally releasing the open-grown oak to reveal its majestic silhouette.
