Illgen Falls Cabin

General description

The Illgen Falls Cabin is located on the eastern edge of Tettegouche State Park near the Baptism River. The drive-to cabin offers a private setting with park trails only three miles away. The handicapped-accessible cabin has a roll-in shower and barrier-free main floor. The cabin has a large deck complete with gas grill, overlooking the 45-foot Illgen Falls.

Cabin specifics

Capacity: Six occupants maximum, including infants and children.

Sleeping accommodations: Two bedrooms (one on the main level, one in the loft), each with one queen-sized bed. Queen-sized sleeper-sofa in living room.

Linens: Linens and pillows are NOT supplied for any beds. Linens are available for an additional fee by contacting the park in advance of your visit.

Indoor entertainment: The living room has a gas fireplace and VCR/DVD player.

Kitchen facilities: The kitchen has a coffee maker, toaster, stove/oven, microwave and refrigerator. All cookware and eating utensils (pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc.) are furnished. You must bring expendable kitchen supplies (salt, pepper, soap, paper products, etc.).

Rules

  • CHECK IN TIME: 12 - 4 p.m. Check in at the park office. Contact the park if you will arrive later than 4 p.m.
  • CHECK OUT TIME: 11 a.m.
  • NO PETS - pets are not allowed when staying at this facility
  • NO SMOKING
  • Occupants are responsible for cleaning their cabin and having it ready for the next group, prior to check out. A cleaning or damage fee may be assessed.

Getting there

The park is located 58 miles northeast of Duluth. Entrance to the park is 4 1/2 miles northeast of Silver Bay on U.S. Highway 61.
