FeesA non-refundable reservation fee of $8.50 is charged for each reservation. This fee and camping fees for the entire length of stay must be paid when the reservation is made. Check the fees page for current camping fees. |
Camping reservations may be made up to one year in advance of your first night's stay.
Making a reservation
Online reservations can be made 24 hours a day, except for the first day a reservation becomes available. On the first day, reservations cannot be made online before 8 a.m. Phone reservations can be made from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.

Campsites can be reserved 1-365 days in advance if reservation fees are paid by credit card (MasterCard or Visa), and 10-365 days in advance if paid by check or money order.
Information required to make reservation
You will need to provide the following information to complete your camping reservation:
- Arrival date
- Your phone number
- The name of the park where you wish to stay
- The number of the campsite you wish to reserve
- The name of the campground (some parks have several)
- Special needs for physically disabled persons
- Type of shelter you will be using: tent, RV, etc.
- (RV campers will need to know the total length of your rig from the front of your tow vehicle to the rear of your towed vehicle)
- Length of stay
- Number of people in your party
- Number of vehicles in your party (one vehicle per site)
Note: When you call for your reservation, have alternate campsites or parks in mind in case your first choice is not available. This may be needed on busy summer weekends.
Arrival time
Although sites may be available to be occupied earlier in the day, occupancy is not guaranteed until 4 p.m. Please note that your campsite must be occupied the first night of your reservation period or your reservation is cancelled.
What if I have to cancel my reservation?
To cancel your reservation, call 1-866-85PARKS or log onto your account online at www.stayatmnparks.com. There is a $10 cancellation fee. Please note also that the $8.50 reservation fee is non-refundable.
Cancellation 14 or more days prior to arrival
If the reservation is canceled 14 or more days prior to the arrival date, a $10 cancellation fee is charged. The camping payment (minus the cancellation fee and the non-refundable reservation fee) will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 14 days prior to arrival
If the reservation is canceled less than 14 days prior to arrival, the first night’s camping fee is forfeited and a $10 cancellation fee is charged. The customer is refunded the remaining amount of the deposit less the $8.50 reservation fee.
