Begins at the Visitor Center and extends to the main falls area.

Trails will take visitor along the Gooseberry River and through evergreen and birch forests. Scenic views of waterfalls along trails.

Mountain Bike

Located on the northeast side of the park.

Winter

Cross Country Skiing

12 Miles

Traditional cross-country trails only. Some easy trails but the majority of trails are suitable for moderate skill level. Trails also include .8 k of difficult trail.

Snowmobile

2 Miles

Trail in park connects to the North Shore State Trail that extends along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Call (218) 834-6626 for more information.

Snowshoe

Anywhere Except Groomed Trails

Gitchi Gummi and Fifth Falls trails are designated as intermediate and advanced trails.
