Minnesota's Smallest School Forest Created
On October 2, 2008, the smallest School Forest in the state was brought into the DNR School Forest Program. New Visions Academy in Minneapolis is proud to be home to this .275 acre site featuring 33 trees, a wetland area, two garden plots, and a several other small learning areas. This site provides a great example of the need to educate students about nature in their own neighborhoods.
