Hunting

Wheelchair symbol: accessible recreation opportunities. Many Minnesotans enjoy hunting for the thrill of discovery and to enjoy Minnesota's resplendent outdoors. To make hunting more accessible, people with certain physical disabilities--such as those requiring the use of crutches, a wheelchair, or bottled oxygen--are exempt from some hunting regulations, such as restrictions on using a crossbow and shooting from a motor vehicle. To qualify for one of the special permits for hunters with disabilities, you and your doctor need to fill out a hunting permit application, available online or from the DNR Information Center.
